Prairie Falcon
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with annual precipitation of 18-559 mm, more than 22% of their land publicly owned, and July precipitation (hex. min.) of 0-12 mm. In somewhat moister hexagons (559-1134 mm annual precipitation), it is likely to occur where May minimum temperature (hex. med.) is -1 to 3 C and May maximum temperature (hex. max.) is 18-23 C. The logistic regression analysis showed positive or negative association with big sagebrush shrubland, Douglas-fir - w. hemlock - red cedar forest, elevation (hex. avg.), April minimum temperature (hex. max.), April minimum temperature (hex. med.), April precipitation (hex. min.), and-to a lesser degree-the extent of public land, July maximum temperature (hex. avg.), and July maximum temperature (hex. max.).
